Ashvin has been DJing Argentine tango since 2010, developing a distinctive style known for its rhythmic energy, musical depth, and tandas that are both unpredictable and deeply evocative. Equally comfortable following the mood of the dance floor or leading it in an unexpected direction, he creates sets that keep dancers engaged throughout the night.
A veteran of multiple DJ tours of Buenos Aires, Ashvin had played 45 events across the city by his sixth tour. His appearances include many of Buenos Aires’ renowned milongas and tango venues, among them Parakultural, Porteño y Bailarín, Cachirulo, Gente Amiga, Balmaceda, Sunderland, Salón Canning, El Beso, Marabú, La Nacional, Villa Malcolm, and Lo de Celia, with repeat invitations to several of them.
In November 2022, Ashvin was interviewed as a tango DJ by Buenos Aires tango radio station La 2x4 FM 92.7.
Beyond Buenos Aires, Ashvin has DJed extensively across North America, as well as in Canada, Europe, and Mexico. A highlight has been the Tucson Tango Festival, where he DJed the nine-hour All Nighter for three consecutive years. He has also been invited to international festivals to present seminars on the art of tango DJing.
